If you can find that cheap fibre 1mm diameter it should work quite well.
It=
has a much larger diameter than standard fibres used for video etc, which =
are down to 125 and 250uM for the part that the light gets transmitted
down=
making alignment quite critical. The cheap stuff you can get on eBay shoul=
d work.
