Looks a neat inconspicuous device  , I'm interested in feedback too.

Although a typical HA overkill solution  HomeSeer have 'Z-Net' an
Ethernet linked Z-Wave controller to extend your Z-Wave network into
other buildings etc.  It can have an optional USB>WiFi stick added  if
you had WiFi range.  But $150 is a big difference in cost to a repeater
and it doesn't sound like you'll have an Ethernet cable at your remote
end so would need power line Ethernet adaptor.   There's no European
frequency version just yet but there's a vote thread linked below for
registering interest.
