Having two heating controllers in parallel - possible?

Hi all, I'm keen to have remote boost of our heating and now I'm into the
zwave world
simplest way would be to add a zwave boiler relay.
Ideally I'd rather not change the current Honeywell heating
controller/programmer (rented property) so I was wondering if it's possible
to
wire a single (or double) channel zwave boiler relay such as the
http://www.vesternet.com/z-wave-horstmann-z-wave-controlled-boiler-receiver-two-channels
in parallel with the existing controller?
Result in my mind at least would be that either device could turn the
heating
on.
If both are activated then it's on, if the Honeywell has the heating on and
the
zwave turns on then in my mind this is like the parallel lighting circuit I
have
in my old bathroom with a motion detector and dimmer switch,
If motion is triggered light on dim, if someone flicks the switch lights on
full.
Is what I'm discussing possible/appropriate with a heating system?
Thanks Noel
