Noel,

=20

Here is a link to some Z-Wave switches listed on Vesternet.=20

=20

<http://www.vesternet.com/z-wave/lighting-sockets>
http://www.vesternet.co=
m/z-wave/lighting-sockets

=20

I believe most of these type of switches can have direct association with
a=
nother Z-Wave device. Like a dimmer module, that way the light will still
s=
witch on, however you will not have any logic, i.e. between the hours
of=E2=
=80=A6 Do this action=E2=80=A6.. That is why I prefer a hardware
controll=
er that will be on 24/7 to act as the workhorse/brain.. It
doesn=E2=80=99t=
have to an expensive controller. You can pick them up for less than =C2=A3=
100.=20

=20

With regards to your comment =E2=80=98the ideal is to not use hard wired
sw=
itches=E2=80=99 I=E2=80=99m not sure I agree. I prefer hardware switches
be=
cause you don=E2=80=99t have the issue of maintaining batteries, standard
s=
witches are cheaper and often look nicer. Z-Wave micro modules can be
inst=
alled behind a switch (providing the back box is deep enough), also in or
b=
ehind the light fitting its self in some cases.

=20

=20

Good luck with it

Perfect thanks both, I think the way i=E2=80=99ll handle this is by
setting=
a brief on command at say 0600 at full brightness so that after that point=
if anyone uses the light switch they=E2=80=99ll get full brightness.

Guess the ideal is to not use hard wired switches i.e. that someone
presses=
the switch, command goes to Indigo, it decides what action to take based o=
n time of day etc and then instructs the light accordingly. Downside of
tha=
t obviously is that the lightswitch doesn=E2=80=99t work if Indigo or the
m=
ac isn=E2=80=99t working for any reason. Not good for WAF!

Do such switches exist for zwave? Guess i=E2=80=99m thinking along the
line=
s of the X10 stick a switch that I still use today for a few things and it
=
works great!

Cheers both, i=E2=80=99m placing my order on Vesternet today for my first
w=
ave goodies! List is the usb interface, a 4 in 1 motion sensor and 2 of
the=
dimmer units. Now to find a 2 gang light switch with 1 momentary and one t=
oggle switch in for me to get going with my bathroom lights!

Cheers

Noel
