Yes, I'm still pleased with it. I have the device itself installed in node
0 so I rarely use the main interface, so I can't really comment on that.
The iPad & android interfaces are very good, very usable and the speed
and
quality is good. The pc interface (which I use most) is also good. Like
they say you can do *almost* everything over any of the interfaces, so you
really never need to be at the main console.

Email alerts are great, once you get the masking and sensitivity settings
correct.

I am a bit disappointed with the quality of the recordings sometimes, but
then I have a =C2=A310 camera from eBay, so I cant really complain about
th=
at
until I get the cctv42 =C2=A3100+ cameras. They are still good enough to
identify cars faces etc, and provide everything I need that way.

Some things are different from geovision, which I was used to for years.
The biggest disappointment for me is that the video files cannot be
accessed independently over the network - I like devices like this to NFS
share their contents or similar. I even took a sneaky peek onto their
drive, but the files are stored in some kind of weird way, so there seems
to be no way around that. I contacted their support and they confirmed that
there is no way to access the files.

I had a perl script for my geovision files that created a playlist of front
and rear cameras in order of time, which makes for interesting viewing, so
obviously I miss that functionality.

I like the fact that the pre-motion and post-motion record times are much
longer than geovision, as I often found they missed footage. I think my
current setting is pre 10 seconds and post 30 seconds.

Like anything new it takes a bit of getting used to, for example searching
for motion detected footage I need to click search, then go to the
"event"
subsection before getting a list of motion events. Simple when you know
how. I was quite frustrated at the start getting the motion recording to
work, but it's all working sweetly now.

Any other questions, just ask

Regards

Simon
