Running the lighting and switch cables back to a central rail gives you

ultimate flexibility and will ensure that you are future proofed.
You'll be able to make a decision on the system that you want further

the line and be able to alter it with the passage of time.
Something that will be difficult or perhaps impossible if you make a

on on a dedicated system now.

if I were to think about installing lighting in a new build (or during re=
novation) I would *always* go with KNX based system. You can get
everything=
you need, and it is rock-solid. If you do it right, ie. buy mostly central=
switching equipment, and limit yourself to sensors on the walls that trans=
fer the commands to the central location, you will most probable be in
with=
less money, than with Z-Wave. Still not cheap, but not as expensive as mos=
t people think, when they hear KNX.
And I am pretty sure, indigo does support KNX (never checked, but would s=
urprise me, if they don't)
