CCTV DVRs

My 4-channel CCTV DVR has served me well over the past couple of years but
I now need to add more cameras. Moore's law seems to have applied and
better spec'd units are available and D1 resolution doesn't seem to be
anywhere near as expensive as it used to be.

So, any recommendations? I need:
# non-IP camera basis
# at least 8-channels,
# wired ethernet connection,
# Composite video out
# D1 resolution sounds handy :-)
# Don't need onboard backup to DVD
# User friendly interface for reviewing footage

The last point is particularly important. With the current box I have to
page back through the motion activations to find the bit I'm looking for -
there doesn't seem to be a quicker way to jump back to 2 days ago, for eg.
This wouldn't be so bad except when spiders trigger the motion sensors a
couple of times a minute and there are *loads* of triggers...

This one seems to fit the bill:

Any comments? Other suggestions?

Many thanks,
Tim.
