Hi Alex,

I don't know about Squid Proxy but I've done this sort of thing with a
Soni=
cwall Firewall (acts as the network gateway behind our Virgin
Router/modem)=
to keep the kids internet access under control!

With the Sonicwall you can set up rules to allow timed access for IP
addres=
ses. I've got all the devices (phones, consoles, computers) all in a
single=
block of consecutive IP addresses as reservations on DHCP. Then there is a=
single rule on the Sonicwall that has a time set to it. If its outside of =
allowed times it denies access.=20

What I was finding when my eldest was at high school was she would come
hom=
e with postit notes that she got off her more computer savvy friends on
how=
to change proxy settings. Little did they know that I was controlling acce=
ss on source addresses (crafty little oinks!)

Hopefully this might point you in the right direction!
Wayne.
