I think they're a great idea, but to be honest in my situation I'm
more likely to have an extension lead already, with multiple things
hanging off it. Like the TV stand with the USB powered PS3 controller
chargers, or the study desk with the myriad of computer power cables.

Personally, I'd consider

to be more flexible and suitable.
