Upgrading Home Automation

Hi All,

A friend of mine is just about to upgrade hi HA system which currently
consists of several dozen X10 dimmers being controlled by a server via a
CM11.

The X10 is being removed because it's become too unreliable. Devices are
seeing the wrong codes or seeing nothing. Probably all related to noise on
the lines but he's finally had enough of spending hours unplugging
everything to find the noise sources.

He's happy to run new cables to lights etc if required, but the computer
control has to be kept as all the intelligence is done via his server.

So the question is - What should he put in?

I'm tempted to say Clipsal C-BUS but thought I'd ask the experts here :-)

Thoughts?

Mark
