I guess they get around legal action by the logo being very slightly
different - even so, I think it would be a very difficult if not impossible
task to take a Chinese company to court.

Quite simple really, it's all to do with volume sales, and certification.

I'd be dubious that anything from ebay and china with a CE mark really has
a CE mark, see
