RE: Unifi wifi AP's
Yes I had problems with iOS devices - I had my loft converted to a
studio about 4-5 years ago and there was a LOT of metal trays / chicken
wire to hold insulation in the floor and metal layered insulation on the
roof - makes a nice faraday cage! So I had to have a separate AP up there.
There is a bit of overlap between the two and the roaming certainly works
well.
Paul.

Good to know, thanks.

Similar-ish situation here, lovely thick sandstone walls mean I can't
receive my own wireless network in some rooms, definitely no issues with
interference from neighbour's networks! iPhone's (etc) are the biggest
problem - their antennas must be tiny, they can struggle to pick up a
signal from a router just on the opposite side one of the thicker walls.
Thanks
Joseph
