RE: Unifi wifi AP's

Hi Joseph,

No, I've not done any comparisons as such - but it's definitely giving me
better range than the two WAP54G's I previously had - one was setup as a
repeater/extender.

I'm also lucky here (reading Phil's comments), that it's a fairly big house
and the neighbours are quite well spaced apart (unlike some of the more
modern very dense housing that's going up down the road) - so I don't see
many other networks competing with mine :)

Paul.

I have to say they're superb. Never has setting up an AP been so easy. The
management software is great, even keeping track of other AP's it's seen
and which channels they're on, full logs of what devices have connected
etc, all in a well designed web based interface.

on the iPhone, iPad etc as I move from AP to AP with seamless connection.
The management software also logs when a device roams from one AP to
another.

Sounding good.

Have you done any comparisons of the range to anything else?

Joseph
