RE: Raspberry Pi Boiler Control

Now you've got me thinking. I currently have a problem with our
heating
where the zones (main radiators plus some underfloor heating) have valves
controlling them but our boiler was too smart so I had to bodge a control
interface to it to fool it into operating at the right time, but it has a
nasty habit of running after all the valves on the zones have shut down.

I have been contemplating how to remove the simple control with something
that would leave the valves open for a while after switching the boiler off
and something like this would be good as well as being able to provide a
better indication of what is happening than the current commercial
underfloor heating controller.

Something to work on over the summer I think.

Thanks

John

Subject: [ukha_d] Raspberry Pi Boiler Control

Hi,

I have just finished a short, informal write-up of what I've been up to
with my home heating. It's basically the same as the old PC+VIOM solution,
except it now runs completely from a raspberry pi.
