Thanks Paul,

There's some videos here (linked from youtube) where someone demos the 677
unit. He makes the comment that the operation is similar for other DVRs too
so should give a flavour of how easy they are to use. Near the end of the
top one is a brief glimpse of the motion detection grid and while it's not
quite "free form" it looked more configurable than I was
expecting.

Prices here perhaps a little better than Henry's too?
