RE: CCTV DVR choices

And if you *REALLY* want a good laugh, have a read of the user manual
for
the 703 Series 16 CH or 32CH Digital Video Recorder - the translations are
hilarious in places!

e.g. the alarm relay connections are "homo-polarity"...=20

Also, I have got a copy of the full user manual now, and I can forward you
=
a
copy if you like... - however, not surprisingly, it=92s the *same* manual
t=
hat
I'd already come across a couple of days ago for a different unit on a
different website... - further illustrating that these are all basically
th=
e
same Chinese OEM units in slightly different cases...

If you want a copy of the manual just shout & I'll forward it over
off-list
(3MB ZIP file)

Hi Paul,

Good spot!
I think what initially put me off was the optical drive - unnecessary for
me.
But it does have some other interesting features like loop-through of the
video streams and two separate monitor outputs, etc.
The increased frame rate is probably the most important thing though.
Otherwise they're pretty similar.

Maybe 500GB would be ok...

Haven't looked for any manuals yet, but will post back if I find any.

Cheers,
Tim.
