Re: GU10 Energy efficient replacements

I've just bought 8 of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005DETSPQ/?tag=thelod-21
and they're
fecking great :-)

Nice warm colour, fantastic beam angle, and eye wateringly brighter than
the 35W halogens they replaced. They're also the same size and shape,
and run a whole lot cooler

I don't think they're dimmable though, but that wasn't a requirement for
me either. They are, however, 6W each, and as they're SMD LEDs, they
look kinda futuristic. They also leave a nice glowing pattern for a
while after they're turned off!

Cheers

Kyle

a bit overwhelming so I'd like to try out a couple of different types (e.g.
LED or CFL)to see which work for us. Dimming would be nice but it's not
required for most of our rooms. They're for recessed fittings so must be
the same physical size as a normal GU10.
