RE: Re: Anybody use Pure-FTP
Not used a drobo, I'm guessing it is a *NIX based system? Is there a
GUI?
If there's no GUI, then you will want to look at the adduser command (try
adduser --help for the syntax for your system), this will get you a new
user.
If it is a fairly standard *NIX box, see if there is a Webmin package
available, this will drop in place a fully functioning web based admin GUI
where you can do all the tasks you need and the system will hit the
necessary config files to make the changes for you.

You are about 20 steps ahead of me - I can't create a user - do I do it
from
SSH into teh drobo or do I do it via a client via filezilla? I have looked
at the HowTos online and am beyond baffled.
To aid my understanding do I "run" pure-ftp like a dos exe and
then add the
users or do I use Linux commands to add them?
Sorry to be such a noobie
Cheers
Tim.
