Hi Marc,

It's probably not the cable itself, but the extra connectors.
I suppose you might see an improvement if you could punch-down all the
terminations instead of using plug-in adaptors, but I could also be talking
twaddle... :-)

Could you buy SWMBO a nice bit of furniture to hide the routers in?
Or, ahem, move your incoming lines to somewhere more convenient/less
obtrusive?
