RE: CBus dimmale LED's
Hi Paul
My dimmers are universal in as much as I can set them to trailing or
leading
edge depending on the attached load. The Megaman dimmable LEDs specify
leading edge dimmers so should be fine with your CBus units, subject to
minimum loading etc.

Thanks Neil.
Are your dimmers leading or trailing edge?
Mine are the older leading edge although I see that there's a 'universal'
CBus dimmer that does both leading and trailing edge from what I can see -
wondering if that needs to be changed?
Paul.

I use Helvar dimmers rather than CBus, but I've had good results with the
new Megaman 6W Dimmable lamps which were good value from Starlec online.
They dim nicely and are a nice warm white. I've also tried some Megaman
golf
ball dimmable LEDS in table lamps which also work well. However I've found
that unlike the GU10 lamps, these do not go fully out when "off"
- I get a
very dim output that is only visible in a truly dark room (whereas the
GU10s
go fully off). I'm guessing the driver electronics in the base of the lamp
are different and this combined with the electronic dimmer (as opposed to a
wall-mount dimmer with a physical switch operation) is causing the issue.

Subject: [ukha_d] CBus dimmale LED's
Has anyone here in the UK got CBus with leading edge dimmers and had really
good experiences of dimmable LED driver/lamps? I've seen a number of posts
on the CBus forums but they seem to mostly relate to Australian
parts/suppliers etc.
I'm re-modelling my kitchen and want good output, dimmable LED's for the
downlights. Limited budget though, so they can't cost a small fortune.
Any ideas/experiences?
Many thanks,
Paul.
