Simple (modern) alternative to Homeseer?

I've been waiting for what seems like forever for Homeseer to have a
major update, but it's just not happening, so I've been looking for
alternatives. I've got a lot of Z-Wave, some alarm and Sonos integration
and legacy X-10, but I'm far from a Homeseer power user.

Anyway, I saw this come up on Kickstarter yesterday, and it's picking up a
lot of steam: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smartthings/smartthings-make-your-world-smarter

They're fairly ambiguous about its international capability, but they are,
at least, aware that there's a market outside of the US.

Pete
