There are two different HomeEasy protocols - one for the basic range
and
one for the more advanced range.  The more advanced ones understand
both.  I can't remember the range differences,  but I have a feeling the
ones that can go directly to a specified brightness are in the advanced
category and the others have a start/stop dim mode.
