How good/easy to use is plex media manager - got a customer looking
for a
cheap secondary room solution and if plex is scraping IMDB etc.  rather
than
having to use another media manager, it might be a good solution...

Yes, that's it.  Watch the video on that page for the UI.

Mostly 720p MKVs here, play great.  I believe 1080p MKVs are fine on
gigabit
hardwired LAN too - although I'm sure there's high bit rate stuff it may
struggle with.

Ideal here for secondary zones.
