GigE over USB on Windows Home Server 2011

Hi,

as my MSDN subscription gave me 10 licences I thought I'd best try one out.
Built a trial server with an old Atom mobo I had kicking about (was
surprised to learn it was 64 Bit!) and it all seems great (don't get me
started on the lack of Drive Externer/Folder Duplication), trouble is I
only have 100Meg networking on-board. Does anyone have experience of
USB-> GigE adapters? Are they worth the effort? I know USB2 is
nominally 480Mb, would I see an increase in performance over the onboard
100Mbit adapter?

I have one free PCI slot on the board but that has to go for additional
sata ports, so its USB or nothing.

Cheers

Tim.
