RE: Dimmable GU10 LEDs....

I've got 6 of these 5050 SMD bulbs and they are not the same as a 50W
but
they are by far the closest I have seen. I tried the 4x 2Watt bulbs and
they
are brighter but mainly because they are much more focussed beam. Normal
GU10's have a wide beam angle and these 5050 SMD led's have a similar beam
angle but are not quite as bright. The 4x 2Watt bulbs left the room feeling
dark with bright spots but the 5050 smd bulbs give a even light slightly
dimmer effect, good enough for the reduced energy consumption. I worked out
it will take me 12-18 months to pay off the bulbs compared to normal
halogen
bulbs.

They list this one as "...light output truly comparable with 50w
halogen
bulbs".

Still only 350 lumens though.

Almost suspiciously so -those SMD 5050 LEDs aren't anything special. A
quick
google for specs suggests something doesn't quite add up...
