Hi Simon,

The squeezebox receiver controls the volume output via the SPDIF and
TOSLINK outputs which in turn is controlled by the duet hand controller, or
the Squeeze Commander android app or ipeng iPhone app, volume control
response is as fast as turning a knob on the amp, I was really surprised at
the response and lack of latency.
The controller/apps also turn the squeezebox receiver on and off and when
the squeezebox receiver turns off or music ceases playing for a period of
time, not sure how long, the amp goes into standby.

All works really well as I said.
