Suggestions for bathroom audio?

This is not exactly home automation, but not far off...

I'm renovating our shower-room and so it would be an ideal time to add
audi=
o - but I don't really know how! Do people generally have a separate
system=
, separate amp, or just run speakers off another room amp? If so, how do
yo=
u balance the volume? We listen to R4 a lot so would probably mainly want
t=
hat in the morning so wouldn't need anything too fancy, but it would be
nic=
e to have built-in speakers.

I currently use Squeezebox (SB Radio plus server running on Joggler/Atom)
-=
so would look to extend that (rather than switching to, say, Sonos).

I suppose I'm looking for sensibly priced water-resistant speakers (say
=A3=
50-60 the pair - so no KEF!), some sort of amp to go in the loft, some way
=
to switch it on and off (I have a 1-wire network so could use that) and
som=
ething to hook it into the headphone output from the SB Radio.

This is what I've found:

1) speakers:

=A348+del
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Water-Resistant-Speakers-16-5cm-White/dp/B000IUTOZ4=
/ref=3Dpd_cp_ce_0 =A323
Lots of quite cheap looking ones on Fleabay

2) amp: e.g. T-amp 2x20W as suggested by others on this list
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-T-AMP-TA2020-Audio-Amplifier-Board-2X20-Watt-/200=
597295221?pt=3DUK_AudioTVElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Amplifiers&hash=3Ditem2e=
b487d075

Should I be mounting in the ceiling or high up in the walls (partition
wall=
s so possible)? Will a headphone level output (perhaps run over thin coax)
=
be suitable to go from the SB Radio to an amp in the loft (perhaps 5-6m
awa=
y)?

Note: I don't really need a separate source as the shower-room is next to
t=
he bedroom and I want to keep things reasonably simple.

Any suggestions welcome!! Thanks!

Simon
