Thanks for the idea I'd looked at panel and POS PCs...

One advantage of a laptop is that the keyboard and mouse are built in and
the screen folds down to protect it - they're going to be carrying a
barcode
scanner, printer and scales so trying to minimise the number of parts /
cables etc.
