But are there any iPad solutions for remote control? I'm aware of a
couple of specific apps for things like XBMC, Plex or MythTV.

Must confess I have not researched this at all yet, but I plan to get an
iPad and it would be good to know what others have already established.

For example, how do you deal with IR control from an iPad? Is there any
work being done to provide integrated remote control apps for the iPad,
rather than having to use a different app for each device?

I guess someone is looking at this....

You're not alone and that's a lot to do with my these remote lines are
pulling out of the market.
