RE: 20 Bay 4U case unRAID build

Coincidently I am building an unRaid NAS this weekend=85

Only mine is currently 2 x 2TB disks in a =92standard=92 PC case=85.

Interested in details of your choices as I expect to move to a more
suitabl=
e
case with more discs going forward=85

I wonder if you are integrating with Active Directory? Something I want to
do as I move away from my ageing Terrastation.

I am building a new storage server as my first build was more for proof of
concept and I am now happy enough to build a more long-term unRAID storage
for DVDs and BluRay movies.

I am using a XCase RM420 4U 20 bay case which will give me a potential 38Tb
server when fully populated with 2Tb drives.
Here is a link to some photos of the build:

The system is running the 2nd of 3 cycles of "preclear" on 8
drives. Takes
about 24 hours per cycle, but it is supposed to identify any drive issues
before that are put into service.
