Re: Re: Solar PV ?
I have not (yet) had an install but I have now gathered quotes off
four
companies, and am at decision point.
1a - 3.995kW (17 x 235W REC) + Sunny Boy = ~£12,500
1b - 3.96kW (18 x 220W Innotech) + Sunny Boy = ~£11,800
2 - 4kW (16 x 250W Sanyo H250) + Sunny Boy = ~ £13,300
3a - 3.92kW (16 x 245W Sharp) + Fronius = ~£13,000
3b - 3.995kW (17 x 235W Sanyo) + Sunny Boy = ~£16,100 (ouch!)
4 - 3.8kW (16 x 240W Sanyo) + Fronius/Sunny Boy = ~£14,300
There's quite a price range in there and I'm not entirely sure what to
use as the selection criteria. The energy generation estimates vary from
3200kWh (the 16k system) to 3600kWh with the payback estimate going from
around 7 years to around 10.
I like the Sanyo panels even though they are expensive but a few places
seem to suggest REC (and they come out well in independent tests,
apparently) but I've not seen any comment from people who actually have
them.
