If they didn't want to clutter up the iPAD with extra connectors then
the
thing that seems logical to me would be to have a USB socket on the
supplied
charger so that you connect it up inline eg PC >> charger >>
device in much
the same way as POE Power injectors for IP Phones.

My original point was to try to find some way to get the iPad to charge
from
the supplied adapter *AT THE SAME TIME* as being connected to a USB host
device and hence remove all the debate and query about "Will it work
when
attached to this host device?"...
