Superb - I'm so pleased that your iPad charges unusably slowly from your PC
only if it is turned off - that is a very useful way for a product to work
... stops anyone finding bugs in your software I suppose.

Sorry - I'm being flippant but to sync and charge from a PC *ONLY* if the
screen is turned off is pretty bloody useless - surely someone at Apple
would have thought that it would be much better to be able to charge the
unit *AND* sync it at the same time rather than have to fanny about trying
to work out what devices are able to supply more power than the USB spec
and what devices are able to supply *MUCH MORE* than the USB spec?

My original point was to try to find some way to get the iPad to charge
from the supplied adapter *AT THE SAME TIME* as being connected to a USB
host device and hence remove all the debate and query about "Will it
work when attached to this host device?"...
