Quick one for you!

How about a simple PCB with Type A plug on one end into the PC and the
other
end a Type A socket and in the middle at right angles, a Type A socket for
the charger to plug into.

Would this work?

Is really just the charger one we need to consider as the other 2 are
simple
plug and socket to suit the PC.

Well of course the iPad uses those damn silly USB to 30 Pin Apple
connectors
but I would have thought for something like this the ideal would be to use
two "Type B" sockets for power and data in (then you can use
standard
cables) and a single USB "Type A" socket out to to the iPad which
you would
plug the normal Apple USB cable into, no?

Oh and wasn't it you that was into your engine management systems a few
years ago? I'm currently thinking of replacing the standard ECU on the TVR
with something a bit more flexible. ;-)
