Hmmm 1.2A must be nearly 300W which is quite a lot. If you've not done
so already it would be worth measuring it running under typical load (and
over a few days) - often I find it is less than a power calculator
spreadsheet estimates.

I've used Newnet/Serverhouse in Fareham for quite a few years now and can
recommend them - they're very reasonably priced, friendly and reliable.
Their standard 1U only comes with 75W though and then they charge in 50W
increments, so you'd need to get a quote from them. It also depends on
requirements of course - if you need multiple Tier 1 ISPs on-site you'd
need to look elsewhere (London usually).

Note if this isn't a very new server, and assuming it's x86-64, the
break-even point for buying a new Nehalem-based server may not be that far
off (plus you'd get better performance, or perhaps could reduce the
processor count).

Finally, as already mentioned, AWS EC2/S3 may work out cheaper and less
hassle these days. Colocation still suits me as I run a lot of VMs but I
think it's becoming quite marginal.
