RE: [OT] Colocation required

Neil,

The problem is 1.2A power!! DC's are expensive places to buy power and the
typical Dell / Supermicro bulk hosting server is often .5A or less, hence
the cost.

Could you change disk config to reduce power? The upfront costs of
alternative disks will soon recoup the additional monthly power costs.

For single server hosting, I tend to find that rental is often cheaper than
co-lo.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Colocation required

I'm after a (cheap, of course) colocation provider in the South East.

I've been round the usual players, but most only offer 0.5A and my 1U=20
server is rated at 1.2A fully loaded with hard discs and RAM. Ideally=20
don't want to pay more than =A360 per month.

Any suggestions? (and putting it in my garage on the end of my internet=20
connection is not a valid one :-)

Cheers

Neil
