RE: Alternative remote - wireless?

Still looking - I think the RF performance is very poor on the 900 -
so something with Wi-Fi maybe?

Paul.

I should have looked at the Logitech web site before posting - I see that
there's now a 900 series remote with wireless extender.

Anyone got/used one of there - how good is the range?

Paul.

Subject: [ukha_d] Alternative remote - wireless?

I've been using a couple of Harmony One's for a couple of years now - I
love the remotes, great for the price. They control local A/V kit and also
a load of A/V and HA stuff in node0 via an IR distribution system which is
part of my Russound CAV6.6 whole house amp system.

Recently, the IR control has become increasingly unreliable and it now
takes several button presses (or even up to 10!) to control a device. I'm
sure there's interference from somewhere - maybe to do with the darker
evenings?

Anyway, IR has never been my ideal choice of control - so my question:

Has anyone got a recommendation to a remote like the Harmony One but with
Wi-Fi or other wireless that can then output IR at the other end? Needs to
be affordable too.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Paul.
