What would you say the 4x1W LED's are like output wise compared to say
a 30W or 50W halogen?

Brightlightz 4+1w GU10s.
I bought 2 daylight ones for our TV room and was impressed with them so
bought the warm white version for the kitchen.
I bought some "warm white" leds (not from
Brightlightz) a year ago for the living room (house is newbuild and so I am
sorting lighting in stages).  Colour was poor and output poor also. These
new ones are quite a revelation!
