Phoenix From The Flames - WAS A cautionary Tale

Just an update. I bought 2 identocal drives to the ones that got
smoked and transferred the drive boards from the new ones to the old drives
- I got one of them to spin up and after a bit of buggering about managed
to get all the data off the drive - the other one wouldn't play ball, but
it was worth the effort.

I'm a bit miffed with my treatment at the hands of Antec (the power supply
manufacturer) they simply said "the PSU contains technology to prevent
connected devices in the event of a power supply failure" and closed
my ticket. I wonder if I have any recourse>

Still, got the data I wanted back, so its better than it was.

Now, just the small matter of the Nantwich Triathlon to tackle....

Tim.
