Re: Re: Joggler back at 50

Yes - it would - but unfortunately there's little chance that it will
ever do so as they're really tight on code space within their processor.

There is however a very similar board from Phaedrus called the Netiom
xAP that does support xAP natively if that suits. ? This doesn't
include internal logic as that isn't how you would normally want it to
work. Phaedrus do make a product called the Viom that includes internal
logic (but not xAP/Ethernet).

  (sic)

I'm guessing a few Joggler users might be new to this forum so just to
mention there's an emerging number of xAP embedded devices including for
1-wire, X10, ModBus and even whole controller modules with embedded
xAP and the Barix Barionet can run an embedded xAP code addition.

- and Automated Home have just posted that article about the 'Home
Automation Hub' project that also includes xAP embedded. My embedded
xAP gateway can link C-Bus lighting and HomeVision via xAP and IDRAtek's
home automation network (IDRAnet) offerings are all xAP enabled via Cortex

http://www.idratek.com

All of these would be controllable 'standalone' from the Joggler xAP app
as would most devices that are supported within your choice of home
automaton application because the xAP plugins expose such devices via
xAP so there's usually a way to get your devices to play ball.

cheers Kevin

for a unit (http://www.cainetworks.com/products/webcontrol/index.html)
that looks quite versatile (though doesn't have a serial interface). If
only it spoke xAP natively, though it gives an idea of the kind of stuff
available anyway.
