Measure the UPS AND load with a power meter.  Then measure the load on
its own.  The difference is obviously what the UPS draws.  Do this only
when the batteries are fully charged (so you're not measuring the charge
current).
Measuring the UPS with no load can give mis-leading results due to power
factors.
