RE: automating a remote control - relays?



Thanks Keith - I have some opto's on some other circuits that I think
you helped me with some time ago :)

What options would I have for controlling them from HV - can't remember if
there are any other outputs (digital?) that might be suitable?

Unfortunately my MFEB seems to cause HV to lock up it's serial ports on a
regular basis, so it's currently disconnected :(

Use opto isolators across the keys. Have done that with a number of
satellite receivers and CD players in the past :)

You just need to make sure you get the polarity right
