RE: Which USB connector would you choose ?

For HA use and for me, it's GOT to DEFINITELY be a connector that
offers the securest fit and offer the best pull-out resistance. Mini-USB
plugs just don't give me much of a warm feeling when it's so important that
a plug stays firmly in place - especially in the crowded rack cabinet with
cables potentially everywhere.

Shame there isn't a locking USB connector - well, that I've ever seen
anyway.

Give me a DB9 with thumb screws any day!!!

Paul.

Subject: [ukha_d] Which USB connector would you choose ?

Hi All,

With a growing number of connectors in use for USB, I wonder what opinions
Home Automators have on which should be used for HA equipment, sensor
units, USB to RS232 convertors and the like.

Heres a picture of whats currently on offer:

You thoughts please

Cheers

Stuart
