I got a very cheap <£12 remote from ebay that described itself as a
"Vista
MCE" remote. Anyway, it's a Chinese copy of a MCE remote that appears
as two
HID devices.
I created a HAL rule to prevent it being seen as an input device, kicked
off
two instances of lircd, one on each event, and with a listen/connect
between
them, and every key is available to lirc. Some are sequences with
Shift/Ctrl,
but I reckon I can get plenty enough codes to feed into my MX-500s and do
what
I need.
Oh, and S3 suspend/wake is working a treat via the remote, so everything is
looking pretty good.
I'm going to try a Revo R3610 as a backend, and if it can't handle it,
maybe
build something using a H55 mobo and an I3.
