Re: Re: cbus Wiser appears to be in UK stockist
Hi Ben,
The standalone CNI included with the Wiser (it attaches to the main Wiser
router using a busbar) is a new fully in-house developed model which is
quite different than the older CNI which incorporated a LANtronix device.
The new CNI is programmed via the C-Bus IP setup utility and it does not
require the LANtronix tools. They're the same from a toolkit programming
perspective. Personally, I much prefer the newer one because it also has a
real time clock so it can retain C-Bus time when there's a power outage..

Thanks for the explanation.
I currently have a CNI that is used for programming. Looks like I could
simply replace the CNI with Wiser. I would gain functionality and could
still programme the system in the same way.
Just a small question - Are the standalone CNI and CNI included with Wiser
the same under the skin or are there any differences?
Regards
Ben
