FTTC - Exchanges and Cabinets

I was delighted to find out my local telephone Exchange was being FTTC
enabled in early January. As I am a long distance from the Exchange I
guessed FTTC would bring me much better speeds.
Now looking at the ADSL availability trackers with my postcode I cannot get
FTTC. When I put in another postcode connected to the Exchange I can get
FTTC.
So it looks like your Exchange can be FTTC but no the BT Cabinet in the
road that you are connected to and therefore you are stuffed and to top it
all I cannot find any information as to the per Cabinet rollout!
