RE: Mythtv - bit the bullet
That was the guide I used, just couldn't get XMLTV to map to the
channels a=
nd I got no guide data for any channel, live TV was good, just unable to
sc=
hedule any recordings.
The HD channels come out very well via HDMI and were still very good under

VGA before the HDMI card arrived. I've not been able to get sound via HDMI
=
under Linux yet though (have a nvidia GT220 card).
I guess I'll have to have an evening of fiddling again when the TV is free.

Ian, you can map myth to use a kbd and mouse, its detailed on the myth

although many do prefer the lirc method.
Alex, I have a nova-s card and have it configured to dump the stream to the
cpu for decoding, allowing me to use it for BBCHD etc,
The EPG data on freesat is only now and next, the guide data is on another
transport and requires a lot of work to scrape it. Its easier to go the
XMLTV route from the radio times website (full 7 days).
