Hawking Z-Wave Gateway

Has anyone ever used a "Hawking HRPG1 HomeRemote Pro Control and
Remote Monitoring Internet Gateway":

If so are they any good? I'm assuming that as they run on the US Z-Wave
frequency it may not actually be of much use to me here (in the UK) - I'm
mainly interested in lights and appliance switches for the moment.
If this isn't much good does anyone have any experience of the various USB
dongles for use with Z-Wave? I use Girder for control so does anyone know
of one that specific device that works wth it.
