RE: SATA for IDE disk swap?

Paul,
Could you not use a SATA -> IDE adaptor?=20
That is what most people are doing for disk upgrades for Tivos.
These adaptors on ebay are cheap and work with Tivos, might be worth a shot
for an xbox.

Subject: [ukha_d] SATA for IDE disk swap?

=A0=20
I have run out of all my old IDE hard disks, and I have a need for a couple
more for a couple of XBOX upgrades... I have a pile of 3 off WD3200YS RE16
SATA drives sat here that have had only 12-18 months use, that I *probably*
won't make much more use of... - these are the RAID edition models
certifie=
d
for 24/7 use and with a longer warranty (5 years rather than 3 if memory
serves).

Anyone want to do a swap? - I'll give you a fairly new SATA 320GB drive in
=
a
straight swap for an IDE disk of at least the same size (or larger, - but
only up to 500GB is normally workable in an XBOX I believe)...

Cheers.

Paul G.
