Hi Richard,

I don't think there's any 'economical' video matrix switch with
inbuilt xAP . You could get it with the Crestron or AMX matrix switches
that have the inbuilt processors but I doubt that's attractive.

I've previously used a small standalone embedded module to xAP
enable a mixture of Kramer, AutoPatch and  Key Digital switches ,  so
you could create a standalone solution for these , or indeed almost any
serial / Ethernet  device with some code changes if that was important
(cost of box ~ £50).

I'm interested in your other questions too so let's see what replies
you get..
